Dr. Yao has directed several dramas including The Inspector General by Gogol, The Birds by Aristophanes, The Crown Prince Shen-sheng and Suitcase by Yao Yi-Wei, The Love and Old Times by Harold Pinter. She also published a professional book entitled Six Plays by Yao Yi-Wei and many papers including Stanislavsky in the Soviet Union, Mastial -Acrobatic Arts in Peking Opera (in English). Her researching papers were often seen in journals; the representative article is The Puzzle of the Method of Physical Action-A Study of the Stanislavsky System.

Dr. Yao has directed several productions including Old Times, Birds and Romance in the Office and published the book entitled Six Plays by Yao Yi-Wei. Her research papers can often be seen in journals; a representative article being “The Puzzle of the Method of Physical Action-A Study of the Stanislavsky System.”

Lu, Ai-Ling

Member of C.R.A.R.(the Centre Recherche sur les Arts de la Rue) in France.  Researcher at Theatre Iconographic Research Group (L’Équipe d’iconographie théâtrale) of Theatre History and Theory Rearch Center (la théorie et l’histoire du théâtre au sein de l’Institut National d’histoire de l’art) at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts.

She has also served as a Judge Committee for several international theatre festivals in France and Belgium and has participated in several street theatre performances as a conductor and director in Taiwan since 1995.

In addition to his book entitled Boalian Arsenal: The Aesthetics of the Oppresed in the Rehearsal of Revolution (Taipei: Black-Eyed Culture Publ.), he has also written many book reviews and theatrical criticisms, including: “Observer of Modern Taiwan Theatre and Performance Arts” in Annual Observation Project of Aesthetics, Observer of Modern Taiwan Theatre” in Performing Arts Annual, “Observer in Wen Hsun” in Ming Pao Monthly.  He is also a book reviewer in “New Books Monthly:Recent and Forthcoming Publications in Taiwan”, (website: www.books.com.tw). Mr. Yu is also a theatre critic/essayist in Performing Arts Review, Pam Pam Performing Arts News, China Times, Liberty Times, Min Sheng Daily, Chung Hwa Daily, Central Daily, on the 3p Performing Arts Website, and many others.  His published works total more than one million Chinese characters in print.  He has published more than ten conference papers since 2002.
